Pai Village Boutique Resort Deluxe Villa

Each of the rooms consist of a standalone villa with private outdoor terraces. All have air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a safe deposit as well as attached bathrooms with hot-water showers. Located near the front of the resort, the Deluxe Cottage villas squeeze in a queen-sized bed into a cosy, A-frame bamboo huts. The Deluxe Garden Villas include a hammock for lazy outdoor lounging, while the Deluxe Village villas also have room for a writing desk. At the top end, the Deluxe Villas and Rasa Suite come with cable TVs, mini-bars and enormous outdoor terraces.

The Deluxe Cottage villas are very compact and are best suited for solo travellers, while the Deluxe Garden villas have (just barely) enough room for a couple – it's worth spending a little extra to upgrade to a Deluxe Village villa. Village Farm ducks

One of Pai Village Boutique Resort’s highlights, the Village Farm is located across the river about a 5 minute drive away. This quaint, European-style farm is dotted with cabins, koi ponds and greenhouses surrounding a peaceful lake. Kids will love feeding and petting the resident lambs, goats, chickens, ducks and rabbits, while grown-ups will appreciate the organic vegetable gardens and produce.

Run by local legend Mama Lon, the resort's in-house spa offers traditional Thai massages using homegrown organic herbs.

Pai is famous for its outdoor scenery, with plenty of hills, caves, hot springs and waterfalls that offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, swimming, bamboo and white-water rafting opportunities. Treks to nearby hilltribe villages, such as those of the Lisu, Karen and Hmong tribes can also be arranged with a reputable agent. Don’t forget to visit the Walking Street night market to shop for local handicrafts, colourful Hmong embroidered bags, wood carvings and more.
